No matter what season you are planning to have your wedding, there are flowers that will make it beautiful without breaking your budget. Although spring and summer offer the most choices of blooms, there are many wonderful options for fall and winter as well.
Consider the following for each of the seasons:
- Autumn/Winter – Chrysanthemums (pom-pom or button), carnations, dahlias and daisies are the most reasonably priced flowers at this time of year. Although higher-priced, consider flowers such as hydrangeas which have larger blooms so not as many are needed. Also consider using seasonal berries, greenery and fruits.
- Spring/Summer – Most everything is available, but certain flowers will always be pricier. At the lower end of the cost spectrum, consider daisies, carnations, daffodils, gladiolas, sunflowers, tulips, spray roses and irises.
- If cost is not an issue, other popular wedding flowers include roses, orchids, calla lilies, peonies and gardenias.
- Your florist can offer suggestions and options to keep the cost down without losing your vision.
