Finding the ideal wedding venue may just be easier than you imagined, especially if your hopes are for something sweet, rustic yet elegant and designed to captivate the hearts of your guests. With exposed-wood beams, ample natural light and bright greenery to decorate the 30-acre equestrian estate, Legacy Stables & Events is more than just a venue; it’s an unforgettable experience that’ll make your day of celebration a bit more magical, just like your love.

The property was purchased by Owner Robert Weisner as a gift for his granddaughters so that they could pursue their aspirations of riding and competing with the American Saddlebred show horses. Over the years, it grew to become the home to Legacy Saddlebreds, a state-of-the-art horseback riding academy and training facility, as well as one of the largest riding complexes in the southeast. Legacy Saddlebreds was nationally recognized for its devotion to training students young and old, both recreational riders and professionals. They are even proud to have watched some of their zealous students become National Champions, World Cup Gold Medalists and World Champions. Once they started to draw the attention of many photographers and couples, they took a leap of faith to venture into using their estate property for more than just their riding academy. With three different venues on-site to choose from, it’s now become the ideal location to celebrate your commitment to another, surrounded by your closest family and friends.

What was once a training facility for award-winning American Saddlebred show horses is now a 12,000-square-foot elegant, climate-controlled indoor event space that can comfortably seat up to 800 guests year-round. In the Grace Barn, you’ll find their two largest event spaces, the Salem Stallway and Cate’s Ballroom, both with breathtaking features that will provide those “ooh and ahh” moments when you share your wedding day photos. With the lush greenery and romantic drapery, the Salem Stallway can accommodate a ceremony of up to 310 guests or a reception of up to 125 guests with an option to keep the barn doors open. Add glistening chandeliers and globe lights for a mesmerizing evening in Cate’s Ballroom that can either be used separately or combined with the Salem Stallway to satisfy your needs. With their stables wedding-ready at all times, it makes for the perfect back-up plan for those unexpected rain showers or growing guests lists without the stress of renting an extra tent.

A hidden gem within the estate is their Legacy House which overlooks acres of green pasture and is ideal for intimate ceremonies, receptions and rehearsal dinners. Breakaway for a moment as you stroll along the garden path perfumed in sweet, floral and woody notes to keep you calm and relaxed. Beautifully decorated with lavender, hydrangeas, climbing vines and azaleas, the garden will capture gorgeous photos to keep the memories alive. It’s an effortless experience with the manicured grounds and colorful flowers to complement the café lighting for that perfect romantic glow. With their two outdoor kitchens and stone fireplace, transitioning the night into dancing under the stars can be a breeze.

The newest addition to Legacy Stables & Events is their Forsyth Barn, a 22,000-square-foot, climate-controlled and technologically advanced indoor event space with a Grand Ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests, making the possibilities limitless! The new renovations provide more modern themes with brighter color palettes that balance out the classic wooden barn floors and rafters. However, no matter which venue you choose, every detail is carefully curated to ensure that every wedding is uniquely beautiful.

With both a la carte and all-inclusive packages, the journey begins with Caitlynn, Erin and Sondra, who will help you bring your visions to life from your very first tour of the grounds to the day of. What makes Legacy Stables & Events different is that they are not just another barn nor wedding venue, but a little slice of heaven nestled in the heart of Winston-Salem. Each space is truly a labor of love that provides couples with an unforgettable experience.
